With over 6 million collective streams to date, Vancouver based singer/songwriter Shawn Austin has worked tirelessly to find his place in the Canadian country music landscape. Following the meteoric rise of his debut single “Paradise Found”, which landed him as one of the Top 10 most played Canadian Country artists on radio, the BC native was offered the opportunity to perform nightly as a surprise guest on Platinum-selling country star Dallas Smith’s wildly successful, 27 date “Side Effects Tour”. In 2018, Austin hit the road once again for a handful of dates with Gold-certified US country artist Chris Lane and an Ontario run with ACM nominated sibling duo High Valley and was named a semi-finalist in the 2018 SiriusXM “Top of the Country” competition.
Austin returns to radio with his fourth highly anticipated single “What Do I Know” on April 23rd. Written by Adam Hambrick, Trent Harmon and Paul Digiovanni, “What Do I Know” follows Austin’s Top 10 debut and follow up hits “Get Me There” (over 1M collective streams), and “You Belong” (over 2M collective streams), off of his self-titled debut EP released in September of 2018.
With magnetic vocals, honest lyricism and an overall laid-back vibe often compared to a hybrid of country superstar Brett Eldridge and Grammy-winning icon John Mayer, Austin shows no sign of slowing down in 2019. Fans can look forward to hearing some their favourite songs and new music as Austin heads out on the road this summer including stops at Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Big Valley Jamboree, Country Thunder and Boots and Hearts Music Festival among many others.
